Mono is a fantastic freeware game from binaryzoo.com. Use the mouse to steer a small continually shooting circle over the black screen. The challenge starts as the larger colored circles appear from the sides. Use the arrow keys to change the direction of fire from right to left, up, or down. When you hit one of the large circles, it divides and loses a little of its color into the background. At the beginning, the situation is extremely manageable, but gets crazy pretty quickly: New circles keep appearing faster and faster and eventually act as defense, shooting at their opponent. . Some of the circles leave behind little extras like stars that rotate in a circle, deflecting your fire. The lower right hand corner shows what percentage of the screen is already colored. The goal is to follow the Principle of Additive Color Synthesis in order to end up with a screen that is 100% white.
