Do you have a cat? Have you ever wanted to hypnotize your furry friend? Then this is the right screen saver for both of you! According to the author, this screen saver is supposed to absolutely fascinate cats. In the Read me file the author refers to this interesting side effect under the section on "Known problems: 256 color mode". Quote: "No joke!!"
But this screen saver is also great for humans. In the 256 color mode, the color of the pictures is animated, which leads to an absolutely psychedelic effect - and the cat problem. It's also nice that you can activate a DirectX option in the set-up dialog which automatically switches to a color depth of 256 colors upon activation of the screen saver. However, if using WindowsNT 4.0, you should not choose this option, as it can result in a computer crash. The pictures generated by the screen saver are, according to the author, based on the laws of physics - atomic physics to be more exact. In the set-up mode, you can choose from a variety of "elementary particles", which serve as the basis of the pictures. Now, we're not physicists, but the names of these particles sound really strange (and extremely French!) to us. Here are translations for some of the "scientific words": Cochons = Pigs, Cornichon = little pickles, Oignions = Onions, Dindons = Turkeys, Jambon = Ham
