PC Pete (Philips)

This commercial screen saver from Philips is a great Sci Fi parody which quotes just about all the big names in this genre. The star of "2001, a Space Parody" is intergalactic talent scout Pythagoras Clinton Pete, or PC Pete for short.

On his travels he comes across all sorts of curious things. Totaled cars, the answer the questions f the universe, an uprooted Johnny Castaway, and extinguished suns, which can be reactivated by putting the plug back into the electrical socket. Of course, PC Pete also discovers lots of talent on his journey, including hits like the "Space Girls" and "Darth Fader".

Even more action is in the setup menu. Here you can change the way the ship looks as well as it's way of propulsion (Tiger Stripes pattern and Improbability Drive). The user can also choose which toppings to have on the pizza, too (no joke). The story of PC Pete continues. Updates can be downloaded every month from the Philips homepage. In other words, "don't panic".
