The native Spaniard started his racing career at 13 racing go-carts, winning the Spanish championships six times, and becoming world champion in 1996. He's going for this title again, but this time he's not racing go-carts….now he's competing in the fastest racing category in the world. As a member of the Renault F1 team, he has been counted among the six best drivers in the World Championship over the past few years. Only time will tell if the time is right for him to take his place in the middle of the podium this year. At any rate, he definitely has the talent and the necessary horsepower to make it happen!
