This pop icon of the 90s was off the musical radar for quite some time. But she's back with her 2005 album "The Emancipation of Mimi". At her side are international hip-hop and R'n'B artists such as Nelly, Fatman Scoop, and Snoop Dogg. The title of the album promises an emancipated Mariah who has detached herself from her childhood nickname (Mimi) and started on a new path as a more mature artist.
