18th century Venice: The most famous ladies-man of all time turns the heads of all the beautiful ladies until one uninhibited love affair almost brings him to the gallows! He's given an ultimatum: Either he marries before the upcoming Carneval celebration or be banished from Venice forever! No woman can resist him, so it's easy for Casanova (Heath Ledger) to find a suitable fiancé.
