The year is 2415, 400 years after 99% of the world's population has been decimated by a deadly virus. The remaining 5 million people are concentrated in the metropolis of Bregna. They owe their lives to the work of the scientist Goodchild. However, his descendants have been totalitarian dictators whose goal is to make the people believe that they live in the perfect society. But not everyone believes that this world of deceit is true. The Monicans, an underground organization, fight the Goodchilds with everything they've got, including their top underground operative, Aeon Flux. She has her own score to settle with the Goodchilds: Her family was brutally murdered by agents of the totalitarian regime. She's driven by revenge, and with the help of the rebels, she means to bring an end to the rule of Trevor Goodchild. Charlize Theron shines as the sexy action heroine, and once again shows her versatility as an actress.
