The noble Audi R8 sports car made its debut in September of 2006 Its technical advances come out of the "Le Mans quattro" concept study introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in 2003. Speeds of 180 miles per hour aren't a problem for its high-performance mid-mounted direct fuel injection engine. The full aluminum body is lightweight and adds to the car's performance. Until the "Le Mans quattro" goes into production in the spring of 2007, fans of this super sports car will just have to be patient. Even though this screen saver doesn't give you the chance to try out the motor and road performance of this awesome sports car, it does make quite an impression with great pictures of the car's racy design. You even get to take a look at the 4.2 liter engine.
